Adventures in Dresses: Friends Forever | {San Diego Photographer}

It has been far too long since we last took our little ladies out for Adventures in Dresses! The launch of Matilda Jane’s new fall line, “Friends Forever” gave us the perfect opportunity to get these friends out for some fun adventures, and of course photos! The new line makes it easy to style all the girls in a family with coordinating fabrics and colors that really pop! Matilda Jane can only be purchased through a trunk show, and I’m hosting a show on September 13th! I will be offering discounts on photo sessions with Matilda Jane purchase, and trunk keeper Carrie Gugger Kelley, TK #949 will be there to help as a personal stylist. Call or email today for more information about photo sessions, the trunk show or ordering Matilda Jane. kendra@kendrakrishnan.com | 760.809.8155

jumping, dancing, and fart jokes… best photos ever | {San Diego Photographer}

Get ready for a serious over share, this may be one of my favorite sessions ever! These two cuties came down to visit me from Orange County, and I’m so very glad that they did! They were absolute angels. And so very sweet to each other. Even through 3 outfit changes and 2 locations, they kept smiling and telling jokes. And they loved every chance we had to jump and dance. But the biggest laughs came from big brother’s fart jokes <3

Matilda Jane Photo Love | {San Diego Portrait Photographer}

I am beyond excited about the return of the Photo Love contest by Matilda Jane Clothing! This time, it’s all about the new tween line from Matilda Jane, called 435 by MJC. The new line for tweens is all about being cool, confident, creative, and allowing the older girls to continue to enjoy the styles they grew up in wearing Matilda Jane, with a new twist!

For Photo Love, I chose three tween girls, and with the help of Trunk Keeper Carrie Gugger Kelley (TK #949), we styled them in some of the cutest things from the new line. A floral skirt (roses are red skirt) paired with a mustard yellow (honey pot) cardigan. A beautiful flowey lace skirt (delightful darling) paried with a floral (good luck) blouse and crochet sweater (guilded girl cardigan). And an adorable dress (seeing stars) made of a mixture of patterns and fabrics, so true to MJC style. We accessorized with high socks and boots and Converse. The girls absolutely loved the fashions, and their moms did too!

Once the girls were all styled, we headed over to Pure – The Blowout Bar for some really cool braided styles. The stylists were awesome, and the girls had a great time being pampered. Having a professional blowout and hair styling makes such a difference in portraits, and it’s a treat I’d recommend to any girl or mom having portraits made!

Finally we headed out for some photo love! We decided on the local community college campus, as there is a variety of backdrops available there from concrete to grassy fields. And here’s what we got! The first photo is the one I submitted to the contest (it was so hard to choose just one!).
